Davey Acquasafe
Sanitising rainwater collected in a household tank that is intended as drinking water is a concern for many property owners.
There is always the risk that bacteria can enter a stored water supply as a result of bird droppings, dust, dirt and decaying vegetable matter such as leaves, which can contribute contaminations such as e-coli or streptococci.
QED Occtech and Davey Water Products have released Acquasafe, a colourless, odourless and tasteless disinfectant which is proven to kill bacteria, viruses, mould and fungi for a period of up to two months.
Acquasafe is a non-toxic, stabilised hydrogen peroxide liquid, which is environmentally friendly as it breaks down into oxygen and water in the process of eliminating bacteria and viruses.
Davey Acquasafe has the following features:
- More effective at killing bacteria and viruses than chlorine,
- Breaks down into oxygen and water,
- Remains as a residual in a clean tank for two months,
- 1 litre disinfects 15,000 litres of water,
