Chlor-clean Chlorine Disinfection Range

The overall effectiveness of chlorine against bacteria, spore forming organisms and viruses is well proven. The range of Guest medical products is superior to traditional sodium hypochlorite solutions compliments of a new chlorine donor NaDCC or sodium dichloroisocyanurate. This superior chlorine product has two distinct advantages:
- Tablets are stable, with a shelf life measured in years and
- NaDCC has been shown to be far more effective in the presence of organic material such as blood and bodily fluids.

Chlor-Clean
The correct method of performing a ‘terminal' or "clinical clean" is to wash the area with detergent and water, wash off the detergent residues thoroughly with clean water and then wipe the area (a third time) with a 1,000 ppm chlorine solution. Each of these three stages are vital; for example, if the middle stage is omitted the chlorine will be inactivated by the detergent residues, but because it is so time consuming it is rarely performed properly.
Any attempt at combining detergents (even neutral detergents) and chlorine products will result in the reduced effectiveness of the detergent and inactivation of the chlorine.
New Technology has provided a simple answer to the above problem. Chlor-Clean tablets contain NaDCC. NaDCC is combined with a new anionic surfactant that does work with the chlorine and also allows the chlorine to achieve its full disinfection properties.
Thus the Chlor-Clean solution reduces the time taken to do a clinical clean by two thirds and will encourage proper disinfection of the area.

Haz Tab "Non-Effervescent" 4.5g Tablets
The use of chlorine-release tablets to make up environmental disinfectant solutions is now well established in hospitals throughout the world. Chlorine is known to be a most effective agent against the broad spectrum of bacteria, fungi and viruses including HIV and Hepatitis viruses.
- Haz-Tabs are made from NaDCC, a more effective chlorine donor than Sodium hypochlorite,
- 4.5g Haz-Tabs dissolve rapidly and are simply made up into an accurate strength solution,
- Four 4.5g Haz-Tabs added to a litre of water will make a solution of 10,000 ppm available chlorine,

Haz Tab Effervescent 2.5g Tablets
Guest Medical manufacture effervescing Haz-Tab Tablets for those hospitals who believe that the problem of change outweighs the cost saving advantages of the non-effervescing tablets. The 2.5g Haz-Tab gives 1.59g available chlorine per tablet.
- 2.5g Haz-Tabs dissolve rapidly and are easily made up into an accurate strength solution
- Seven 2.5g Haz-Tabs added to a litre of water will make a solution of 10,000 ppm available chlorine solution for blood and bodily fluid spills
- One 2.5g Haz-Tabs added to one and a half litres of water will make a solution of 1,000 ppm available chlorine solution for general environmental disinfection
- Haz-Tab tablets are stable and have a shelf life of up to five years
