We recently financed and produced an independent study to give the industry a better understanding of the new Green Energy Act that was legislated in May in Ontario, Canada. Hatch affiliate KGS Acres has been working since 1999 on major planning and design studies for four Manitoba Hydro generating stations with a combined capacity of 2,400 MW. In 2009, we began final design for one of the stations, the Keeyask, 725 km northeast of Winnipeg on the lower Nelson River. read more |

The Anglesea power station comprises a 160-MW boiler and steam-turbine generator fueled with brown coal from a dedicated on-site mine. Hatch conducted a feasibility study and basic engineering to enable the integration of a flue-gas desulfurization process to reduce stack SO2 emissions and ground-level concentrations in surroundings areas. read more |
