Hatch completed an independent valuation of the fixed assets owned and operated by Peterborough Distribution Inc. (PDI) and Peterborough Utilities Inc. (PUI).
The scope of Hatch's activities included:
- confirmation of the inventory of fixed assets
- condition assessment of the assets through field inspection and allocation of age profiles
- determination of the replacement cost of the assets
- determination of the initial installed cost of the assets
- determination of the estimated net values of the fixed assets
The asset valuation considered a range of distribution lines, distribution circuits, transformers and related equipment owned by PDI, and generation equipment, water heaters, lighting and cables owned by PUI.
The asset valuations were required as part of Ontario Regulation 162/01, requiring a fair market assessment for purposes of capital cost allowance determination.
