Australia: Desalination Plant for AdelaideAqua Consortium

Hatch-led JV builds, operates and maintains plant supplying potable water to Adelaide

Low rainfall in southeastern Australia has reduced the volume of water entering the Murray–Darling Basin, which supplies most of Adelaide’s potable water.

The AdelaideAqua consortium designed, built, operates and maintains the plant at Port Stanvac, south of Adelaide. A Hatch-led joint venture forms the design group for AdelaideAqua and provides architectural, civil, electrical, mechanical and structural design services for site structures, tunnels, pipelines, all civil works and an energy recovery system.
